When I was a kid growing up in fifties Manhattan, if my mother had told me there would be a flasher running for mayor of New York, my mouth would have dropped open. Flashers were those guys I was supposed to run away from in Central Park.
But now we have Anthony Weiner, a flasher of the Internet sort, who exposes himself to random women online, before and after having apologized publicly for it, actually (as of this writing) still campaigning for mayor of our biggest city and financial center. -Roger L. Simon

Disgraced ex-Gov. Andrew Cuomo was charged Thursday with groping a former aide in Albany’s Executive Mansion — a crime that could send him to jail for a year if he’s convicted.
A misdemeanor criminal complaint filed in Albany City Court alleges that Cuomo, 63, “did intentionally, and for no legitimate purpose, forcibly place his hand under the blouse shirt of the victim…and onto her intimate body part.”
“Specifically, the victims [sic] left breast for the purposes of degrading and satisfying his sexual desire,” it adds.
The incident allegedly took place on the afternoon of Dec. 7 on the second floor of the Executive Mansion, the governor’s official residence.

State Rep. Ramon Perez is apologizing after handing out a document to the House Finance Committee that showed open tabs on a computer with pornographic content.
The Providence Democrat brought the printout to a committee meeting Wednesday night, in which he testified on an automobile crash protection bill he sponsored. What he handed out was a screen grab of a Wikipedia entry for the Puerto Rico Automobile Accident Compensation Administration. Several open tabs were visible with titles that referenced obscene material.
One tab included the word “teen.”

The presidential campaign was rocked on Friday after federal law enforcement officials said that emails pertinent to the closed investigation into Hillary Clinton’s private email server were discovered on a computer belonging to Anthony D. Weiner, the estranged husband of a top Clinton aide.
In a letter to Congress, the F.B.I. director, James B. Comey, said the emails had surfaced in an unrelated case, which law enforcement officials said was an F.B.I. investigation into illicit text messages from Mr. Weiner to a 15-year-old girl in North Carolina.

Congressman Justin Moed, a Democratic legislator representing downtown Indianapolis, the state’s largest city and its capital, posted graphic sexual texts to Leathers on Twitter using the handle “Bitch Boy” and sent her gifts including a “Fetish Fantasy Series Pink Leash & Collar.” Moed apologized on Tuesday in a statement to the Indianapolis Daily Star.

She said the photographs - including one showing her wearing a Santa hat and simulating a sex act with a phallic-shaped false nose being worn by her ex-husband - were snapped at a costume party six years ago when she was 22.
