The Board of Deputies of British Jews is considering making a complaint to the police over a newspaper interview with the poet Tom Paulin in which he is reported as saying that American-born settlers in Israel should be shot dead.

Interestingly, the piece reports that European Jews tend to believe that anti-semitism is coming mostly from Muslim populations and from the European left-wing, not from the European right-wing. Go To Site

Former U of O professor faces extradition

OTTAWA — A former University of Ottawa professor wanted in connection with a 1980 terrorist bombing is expected to learn today whether or not he will be extradited to France to face prosecution. Hassan Diab, 57, a Lebanese-born Canadian, faces murder and attempted murder charges in France for his alleged role in the bombing of a Parisian synagogue on Oct. 3, 1980.
