This “protest” came days before Detective Benjamin Marconi was shot and killed while sitting in his car outside of the San Antonio Police Department, about 80 miles away from where this video was shot.
Along with the murder of Detective Marconi, 3 other officers were shot within a 24 hour period. Officers were shot in St. Louis, Missouri; Gladstone, Missouri; and Sanibel, Florida.

The 20-year-old man accused of shooting two police officers last week outside police headquarters here made his first court appearance Monday morning.
The man, Jeffrey L. Williams, made no statements during a brief appearance before a St. Louis County judge... “After Michael Brown, he was out there protesting,” an uncle, Mark Mooney, 35, said, referring to the black teenager who was shot and killed by a white Ferguson officer in August.

During a protest early Thursday morning in Ferguson, Missouri, shots were fired and two police officers were seriously injured... St. Louis Police Chief Belmar spoke to the press shortly after the incident. Police later arrested Baruch College adjunct professor Eric Linsker in the assault. Police said that Linsker allegedly had recently purchased hammers and a black face mask in his bag. Linsker was charged with second-degree assault, resisting arrest, first-degree rioting, unlawful possession of marijuana and three counts of criminal possession of a weapon.

A senior law enforcement official suggested one early lesson from the tragedy. “You start shouting ‘shoot cops!’ and some nut might listen to you,” he said.

McDonald police said Steven Drake Jr. wrote on his Facebook page Dec. 20 and again the following day lengthy posts indicating he “hated the police far before it was a (expletive) trend” and called for others to attack and kill officers. The first post came the same day a Maryland man shot and killed New York City police officers Raphael Ramos and Wenjian Liu as they sat in their patrol car.

Elvin Payamps, 38, was arrested Wednesday after someone overheard him making threats on a cell phone, saying that he wanted to kill an officer before Christmas, authorities said. The witness heard Payamps make those statements at 1:38 p.m. Cops tracked down Payamps about an hour later, authorities said. The witness told police he heard Payamps say, "The cop should have been white that was killed. I always have a gun on me."

Durham police say a man fired shots at one of their officers Thursday night. A department spokesperson said Officer J.T. West was sitting in his marked patrol car working on a report when he saw two suspicious men coming up from behind his car near an abandoned apartment building.
West got out of his car to speak to the men, but before he could say a word, one of them pulled a handgun from his waistband and fired six shots at the officer. One of the bullets struck the police vehicle...
The man who fired the gun was described as a black male, 18 to 25 years old, approximately 6 feet tall with a skinny build. He was wearing an oversized black hoodie. The second suspect was described as a black male, 18 to 25 years old

An Illinois man was arrested after police officers investigated a Facebook post in which he allegedly threatened to "kill cops and innocent white kids." Police arrested Aries Woodfin, 33, at a suburban Illinois home Friday after they found a .45-caliber pistol, several rounds of ammunition and what police described as a homemade shooting range in the basement, reports TV Station ABC7 in Chicago... His post on Dec. 8 on the social media website was merely him expressing his outrage over recent highly publicized incidents in which white police officers killed young black teenagers and were not charged, she said.

A man was shot and killed by police after he allegedly tried to run them over with his car in Delaware County Tuesday. The suspect was wanted for terroristic threats after he allegedly threatened to kill police and FBI agents in a video posted on YouTube. The man then allegedly tried to run over other officers with his vehicle. The officers took out their weapons and opened fire, striking the man several times.

Protesters marching against the Ferguson grand jury decision cheered and chanted "hit him again" after four Denver police officers were hit by a runaway car, police union officials say. Several other police sources told KUSA that there is evidence and witnesses to the fact that some marchers cheered after the officers were struck Wednesday...
