It is not enough for these Americans to say: “I have had my day in court and prevailed.” In effect, they now add: “You do not have the right to hold a different opinion, even if you lose in the public arena. You may not hold on to your belief as a minority view, or even as a private thought.
And if you persist and still disagree, I will attack you without quarter and set others on you to deprive you of your status in your profession, of your standing in your community, and even of your livelihood.” -Tom Nichols
But gay marriage proponents may be among the worst winners in political history. I’m beginning to think that, for whatever reason, they are just too dumb to take “yes” for an answer. Maybe the reason is that it was never about marriage in the first place. It was always about affirmation. -Rebecca Hamilton

Shut up! Don’t say another word. That’s what the Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industry (BOLI) is telling the owners of Sweet Cakes By Melissa, a bakery owned by Christians who refused to bake a cake for a lesbian wedding. The state also slapped a gag order on the evangelical Christian bakers – banning them from speaking publicly about their refusal to participate in or bake wedding cakes for same-sex unions.
Hunter Walker, a senior political reporter at Business Insider (a left-wing publication that disguises itself as objective), tore into those who do not “cheer” same sex marriage Friday. DOJ employees were emailed a brochure called "LGBT Inclusion at Work: The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Managers." The brochure was created as a resource from DOJ Pride, an association of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender employees of the DOJ. A Department of Justice spokesperson did not return calls seeking comment. Fox News also reached out to DOJ Pride for comment – but emails were not answered. Among the directives in the brochure is an order for workers to vocally affirm homosexuality. "Don’t judge or remain silent," the brochure read. "Silence will be interpreted as disapproval."

A Christian couple who owns a farm in upstate New York has been fined $10,000 and ordered to pay two women $1,500 each for refusing to hold a same-sex wedding on their property in 2012. New York State Administrative Law Judge Migdalia Pares ruled this week that the Liberty Ridge Farm near Albany, which is owned by Cynthia and Robert Gifford and is their home, was a place of public accommodation and subject to the anti-discrimination provisions of the state's Human Rights Law.

Visitors can see markers indicating a contributor’s name, approximate location, amount donated and, if the donor listed it, employer. That is often enough information for interested parties to find the rest — like an e-mail or home address.
The real story of bigotry and intolerance is the fact that it lives and thrives on the left. As a gay woman who spent most of her adult life pushing the cart for liberal causes with liberal friends in a liberal city, I found that sexism, racism and homophobia are staples in the liberal world. The huge irony is liberals spend every ounce of energy promoting the notion that they are the banner carriers of individualism and personal freedom, yet the hammer comes down on anyone who dares not to conform to, or who dissents even in part from, the liberal agenda. -Tammy Bruce
