Federal immigration authorities on Monday arrested an illegal immigrant who had been released from NYPD custody despite being charged with child rape and sexual abuse.

  Miguel Federico Ajqui-Ajtzalam, a 20-year-old Guatemalan national illegally present in the U.S., was arrested in New York City late last month on multiple charges related to sexually abusing a minor, according to a press release from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

  ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) had lodged an immigration detainer with the New York City Department of Corrections (NYCDOC) after his arrest.

  The detainer was ignored because of New York City’s sanctuary policies and Ajqui-Ajtzalam was released from custody. ERO officers apprehended him on Monday.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is publicly shaming Chicago authorities, claiming that they released a Mexican citizen who later sexually assaulted a toddler at a fast food restaurant.

  Chrstopher Puente, 34, was arrested on Feb. 19 for sexually assaulting a 3-year-old despite ICE's previous request that police continue detaining the previously deported felon. According to a press release on Thursday, Puente had two felony convictions for forced-entry burglary and forgery.

  Despite his background, Chicago declined ICE's June 2019 request to detain Puente -- raising more concerns about a jurisdiction already under fire for defying ICE. A CBS affiliate reported that Puente confessed to placing "the child on his lap while he was in a restroom stall, pulled off her pants, and covered her mouth when she started calling out 'daddy daddy.'"

Laredo Sector Border Patrol agents, assigned to the Cotulla Station, apprehended an illegal alien who was convicted of Indecent Liberties with a Child.

  The arrest occurred during the morning of January 9, when agents encountered an individual near State Highway 83 north of Laredo, Texas. During investigation, records checks revealed that 37-year-old Sotero Salas-Ruiz, a Mexican national, was in the country illegally, with a prior conviction for Indecent Liberties with a Child and Driving Under the Influence, February 2009 out of Charlotte, North Carolina.

Since Montgomery County, Maryland agencies were ordered in July not to cooperate with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) or ask about immigration status, six illegal aliens have been arrested for sex crimes.

On Thursday, local station Fox 5 news reported the latest arrest, that of a man charged with two counts of sexual abuse of a minor: “Another man in the country illegally is accused of sex crimes in Montgomery County. That makes six arrests in just the last months, a string of cases that’s prompted national scrutiny about the county's sanctuary status.”

  While two other cases involve the rape of minors, one 11 and one 16 years old, the most controversial involves an illegal alien released despite an ICE detainer, Fox 5 reports.

A man accused of raping a 15-year-old girl in her grandmother’s bedroom had been deported from the United States less than three years ago, officials with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement confirmed to ABC7.

  Emilio Carrasco-Hernandez, 37, of Hyattsville, is currently charged with second-degree rape, sex abuse of a minor, third-degree sex offense and fourth-degree sex offense...

  In one particular instance, the victim stated she was in her grandmother's bedroom when Carrasco-Hernandez entered, pulled down her pants and underwear and began biting her shirt. The 5-foot-7-inches tall, 200-pound man then slowly walked the victim to the bed's edge and lowered his own pants.

Two undocumented immigrants are accused of raping an 11-year-old girl on different occasions, the common denominator being a friendship with the victim's older brother. Montgomery County Police have arrested Mauricio Barrera-Navidad, 29, of Damascus, and Carlos Palacios-Amaya, 28, of Gaithersburg, and charged each with second-degree rape.

  Last month, the victim — now 12-years-old — spoke with a social worker at her middle school in Germantown. Talking through tears, the girl shared the painful details about what both men allegedly did to her...

  U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement tells ABC7 that Barrera-Navidad and Palacios-Amaya are both living in the country illegally. In December 2016, an immigration judge issued Barrera-Navidad a "final order of removal." It's unclear why the Salvadoran national remained in the country.

An illegal alien has been accused of raping a 72-year-old handicapped woman at a bus stop in Springfield, Missouri.

  Patricio Romero-Enriquez, an illegal alien with a Mexican passport, was arrested and charged with raping the elderly, mentally handicapped woman at a bus stop, admitting to police he did have sex with the woman but claims it was consensual, according to the Springfield News-Leader.

  The 72-year-old woman, according to police, has the mental capacity of an eight-year-old child.

A man in the United States illegally was arrested on Friday for sexually battering a young girl in Haines City, according to the Polk County Sheriff's Office.

  The investigation began on August 24, when the 8-year-old child told her mother that Wilibaldo Salinas Garcia, 29, entered her bedroom and digitally penetrated her, and forced her to touch him. The girl told detectives that Garcia had done something similar to her last year also...

  "Sorry won't cut it for this guy; he's only sorry that he was caught," said Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd. "He tried to prevent getting caught by telling the girl that if she told her mother, her mother would hit her."

One of the suspects sought in a nationwide manhunt connected to the alleged rapes of two teenage Ohio girls was arrested Thursday in Texas, according to US Marshals. David Ramos Contreras, 27, of Mexico, was arrested in Lubbock in northwest Texas.

Authorities said tips and other leads led to the arrest of Contreras, who was captured while hiding under a bed.

  Two suspects are still on the loose. There is a $10,000 reward for information that leads to their arrests. They are accused by police in Bowling Green, Ohio, of kidnapping and raping two sisters, ages 13 and 14. The men are classified as dangerous, police said.

A Guatemalan national who allegedly raped a teenage girl had been deported twice before his latest arrest in Oregon, federal officials said Monday. Anastacio Eugenio Lopez Fabian, 24, was arrested in Seaside, Ore., on Feb. 14, after investigators determined he had sex several times with a girl younger than 14, reported The Daily Astorian. That same day, he was released after posting $25,000 bail.

A Mexican man who was deported from the US 20 times has been convicted of 10 counts including sexual assault in Oregon.

  On Friday, Sergio Jose Martinez, 31, was sentenced to 35 years in prison in a Portland courtroom after pleading guilty to kidnapping, sexual assault, sodomy and several other counts, KOIN reported. Martinez smiled throughout the trial, and as he left, he gave one grim parting shot to his two victims' relatives: 'See all you guys in Hell.'

An illegal alien in Nebraska has been charged with four counts of sexually molesting a child and is set for deportation, according to reports.

  Omaha resident Victor Garcia-Fuentes is charged with molesting several children, but prosecutors also say he tried to intimidate witnesses and victims after he was deposited in the Douglas County Jail, according to NBC Channel 6.

  Douglas County attorney Don Kleine told the media that three of the four charges are of illicit contact, and one is an allegation that he penetrated a child. “So these are very serious charges,” Kleine said.

A man accused of breaking into a 65-year-old woman's home, sexually assaulting her and stealing her car was arrested after allegedly assaulting another woman and running from police. Sergio Jose Martinez, 31, was caught July 24 after officers chased him through a neighborhood.

  According to court documents filed in March 2017, Martinez has a history of illegal entry into the United States. He has been a transient in the Portland area for more than a year and has been deported 20 times.

An illegal immigrant, along with another man, is accused of kidnapping and repeatedly raping a woman with autism while holding her against her will. Luis Arnold Lopez-Lara, a 25-year-old illegal immigrant, and 23-year-old Helmer Alexander Erazo allegedly kidnapped the 22-year-old woman with autism after she left her residence after being upset, according to Ozarks First.

An illegal immigrant was arrested Thursday in Connecticut for sexually assaulting a three-year-old girl. Douglas Hus-Flores, a 19-year old Guatemalan living illegally in Stamford, Connecticut, was arrested just hours before a scheduled immigration hearing according to local police. Hus-Flores admitted his crime to police, telling them he “felt lonely and wanted to be with a woman,” according to the police report.

  A little over a week ago, Connecticut Gov. Dannel Malloy issued a memo to the state’s law enforcement officers ordering them not to comply with federal immigration enforcement.

On Friday, police in Raleigh arrested Leonardo Miranda Garcia, 25, after he reportedly raped a girl under the age of 13. Garcia has been charged with first-degree rape and and indecent liberties with a child. He is currently being held at the Wake County Detention Center on an immigration detainer.

A 19-year-old accused of beating and raping an elderly woman who later died will now face a murder charge. Prosecutors said Sergio Martinez-Perez beat and sexually assaulted 93-year-old Louise Sollowin in her home Sunday. Sollowin died Wednesday. Martinez-Perez, who already faces charges of first-degree sexual assault, first-degree assault and burglary, is set to appear before a judge Friday to be arraigned on the new charge. On Wednesday, police in Austin arrested two Mexican nationals who reportedly participated in the gang-rape of a 13-year-old girl on June 29. The girl, a runaway, who lives at the Settlement Home for Children, was picked up by three Latino men and driven to the Avalon Arms apartments, where she was raped by a large group of men for several hours, according to police. As many as 13 men took turns sexually assaulting the girl. Many cheered and filmed the sickening crime on their cell phones, according to court documents.

The U.S. Customs and Border Patrol says it’s turned over a previously-deported illegal alien, wanted for raping and killing a 14-year-old and murdering her father in June, to Guatemalan authorities. Juan Figueroa-Martinez, 27, so brutalized his victim she “subsequently died as a direct result of this crime,” according to the news release. When the victim’s father confronted her alleged murderer, Martinez shot him with a rifle, killing him.

A man who is reportedly an illegal alien was arrested Wednesday after police discovered he bought a green card and social security card and also sexually abused two young girls. Payson police officers were dispatched Wednesday afternoon to a home where a 5-year-old girl and an 8-year-old girl said they’d been sexually abused. According to police reports, the 5-year-old told officers the most recent occasion happened when Miguel Gonzales-Frutos, 32, inappropriately touched her while her mother was in the bathroom.

A man living in Kenner has been charged with three counts of aggravated rape against a 10-year-old girl after the victim was seen in a video claiming they “made love,” police said... 25-year-old Hermes Rivera admitted to police that he had sex with the victim three times between March and April 3, 2015. Rivera remains in custody. At the writing of this report, no bond had been set. Police said Rivera is an undocumented immigrant.

An Indiana resident called an "illegal immigrant" on court documents has been charged with sexually groping two 17-year-old girls on the Fourth of July in a Michigan's Adventure wave pool. Eliazar Rivas-Rodriguez, 29, of Middlebury, Indiana, was arraigned Tuesday, July 7, on two counts of fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct involving force or coercion.

Police arrested Marvin Castellanos, whom they confirmed is an illegal alien, on Monday, after he allegedly dragged a Missouri woman into an alley and tried to rape her at knifepoint. Nicodemo Coria-Gonzales faces six charges including aggravated sexual assault and kidnapping. Police said Coria-Gonzalez admitted he had picked up prostitutes and beat them out of anger. He is currently being held without bond on an immigration detainer.

A man from Mexico who had been deported 10 times in the last six years is behind bars on charges of raping a child on a Greyhound bus. Hays Post reported Tomas Martinez-Maldonado, 41, sexually abused a 12-year-old girl while on Interstate 70, in Kansas' Geary County, late last month. “A Greyhound bus had made a stop in Kansas City and there was an alleged rape that occurred on the bus, however they had no idea where this rape took place,” Geary County Sheriff Tony Wolf told Hays Post.
