The shooting of a security guard Wednesday at the Family Research Council (FRC) has spurred a torrent of heated accusations from both sides of the gay rights debate about claims that the conservative organization is a "hate group."
Tiffany Cross, the host of “The Cross Connection” on MSNBC, told her presumably minuscule viewership of die-hard liberals to “pick up a weapon and get involved because this is for the safety and lasting of the country.”

The Family Research Council shooter, who pleaded guilty today to a terrorism charge, picked his target off a “hate map” on the website of the ultra-liberal Southern Poverty Law Center which is upset with the conservative group’s opposition to gay rights. He told the FBI that he wanted to kill anti-gay targets and went to the law center’s website for ideas. At a court hearing where his comments to the FBI were revealed, he said that he intended to “kill as many as possible and smear the Chick-Fil-A sandwiches in victims’ faces, and kill the guard.”

Facebook on Tuesday removed a page for inciting violence against Republicans after Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) brought it up in a hearing.
Gaetz said his office previously brought the page to Facebook's attention and the social media giant dismissed concerns. But he presented the page to Facebook's head of global policy management directly during the House Judiciary Committee's hearing examining how social media companies filter content.
During the hearing, the Florida Republican highlighted content posted on a page titled "Milkshakes against the Republican Party" that called for "crazed shooters" to target the GOP's congressional baseball team and attack the NRA.

A University of Georgia (UGA) teaching assistant wrote Wednesday on Facebook that “some white people may have to die for black communities to be made whole in this struggle to advance to freedom." He added that to suggest otherwise is “ahistorical and dangerously naive.”
UGA philosophy TA Irami Osei-Frimpong made the comment during a conversation on the Overheard at UGA Facebook page. The comment has since been deleted. Osei-Frimpong claimed in May 2017 that Facebook suspended him for quoting from an article which detailed how Texas A&M professor Tommy Curry had said “in order to be equal, in order to be liberated, some white people may have to die.”

As the Biden administration has taken the reins of the Department of Justice, the feds have dismissed dozens of charges against violent rioters in Portland, Oregon. They have dropped charges such as assault on a law enforcement officer, arson, and other violent crimes. Many have been dropped with prejudice, meaning they can’t be re-litigated in the future.

Family Research Council (FRC) officials released video of federal investigators questioning convicted domestic terrorist Floyd Lee Corkins II, who explained that he attacked the group’s headquarters because the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) identified them as a “hate group” due to their traditional marriage views. “Southern Poverty Law lists anti-gay groups,” Corkins tells interrogators in the video, which FRC obtained from the FBI. “I found them online, did a little research, went to the website, stuff like that.” The Washington Examiner’s Paul Bedard reported that Corkins, who pleaded guilty to terrorism charges, said in court that he hoped to “kill as many as possible and smear the Chick-Fil-A sandwiches in victims’ faces, and kill the guard.”

The Virginia man who planned a mass shooting based on a leftwing group’s “hate map” of conservatives got sentenced to 25 years in prison today, though federal prosecutors had recommended 45 for what they call an act of terrorism. A Florida woman was arrested for allegedly throwing a lit Molotov cocktail inside the lobby of a U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) building, marking the latest attack against an immigration facility.

A 23-year-old California man has been charged with attempted arson for the May 31 firebombing of the East Valley Republican Women Federated office in La Quinta, according to reports.
Carlos Espriu, of Palm Desert, allegedly broke windows with a baseball bat at the office before lighting three Molotov cocktails on fire. Surveillance video captured the assailant coming back to the office after the bombs didn’t light – he threw them again causing the building to catch fire.
