Pro-Choice Hypocrisy

Forcing teachers to join your organization and pay dues is criminal. What happened to free will and the right to choose? I am trying to get out of the union because you don’t stand for kids.

From public schools to health care, the intent is to constrain people and prevent them from opting out. -Kevin D. Williamson Go To Site

Let’s be clear: The only choice Democrats support is the choice to terminate a pregnancy. When it comes to choosing how to spend your own money, with whom you wish to associate, and what you can say, however, Democrats have a simple injunction for women: To the union hall with you. -Matt Patterson Go To Site

Liberals’ famous reverence for choice arose only because they couldn’t bring themselves to utter the word ”abortion” in a debate that is clearly about that very thing. Consequently, the word “choice” has been used so frequently in reference to the gruesome procedure that it is now universally understood to mean abortion. -Erik, ¡No Pasarán! Go To Site

Officials expressed concern that the next shoe to drop in the evolving story about the Affordable Care Act would be disappointment from consumers once they are able to get on the troubled HealthCare.gov website – disappointment because of sticker shock and limited choice, according to a new document obtained by CNN.

A college student who claims he once had same-sex attractions but became heterosexual after conversion therapy has filed a lawsuit against California, which has enacted a law that bans so-called "gay cures" for minors. The lawsuit, also joined as plaintiffs by two therapists who have used the treatments with patients, alleges that the law banning the therapy intrudes on First Amendment protections of free speech, privacy and freedom of religion.

In the latest attack on therapies aimed at helping gay patients who want to become heterosexual, a congresswoman from California said Wednesday that she was introducing a resolution calling on Congress to denounce the practice. Rep. Jackie Speier, a Democrat, is proposing the resolution as two lawsuits move through federal court challenging a new California law to ban minors from receiving “sexual-orientation change efforts” under any circumstance.

Smoking is already banned at beaches, parks, restaurants and near buildings in Santa Monica, but Tuesday night the city council sought to expand that prohibition and voted 4-2 to ban smoking for all new tenants of apartments and condos inside their residences... Other cities have taken similar measures. Pasadena will make all apartments, condos and townhouses smoke-free by 2013 – a move Santa Monica is also looking into. Radinsky expects that within months of living under the ordinance, residents’ behaviors will shift and there will be a “great improvement in public health.”

“Why aren’t you pro-choice when it comes to self-defense for women?” she said. Despite the positive reaction from the crowd, Mr. Moran decided to completely avoid the question and looked past the young lady who asked it. Go To Site

The local Left Party on the Sormland County Council has advanced a motion that says men on the council should sit, rather than the more common standing, while urinating in the office restrooms, The Local reports. The party claims that seated urination is more hygienic for men as it decreases the likelihood of puddles... A representative of the Left Party said he hopes to eventually have sitting-only bathrooms. The Left Party’s Viggo Hansen, a substitute member of the county council and the man responsible for the proposal, told Sveriges Television, “We want to give men the option of going into a clean toilet.”

The event marked the third time protesters associated with the movement have disrupted a pro-life meeting in a week.

"So, um, it is just really hard for me to even ask you this question because I’m almost in disbelief," said Rep. Jim Boyd. "If a baby is born on a table as a result of a botched abortion, what would Planned Parenthood want to have happen to that child that is struggling for life?

"We believe that any decision that's made should be left up to the woman, her family, and the physician," said Planned Parenthood lobbyist Snow.

Liberal Pro-Choice Hypocrisy: Diet

Some Kansas students and at least one political leader say new school lunch guidelines aimed at limiting calories and encouraging good nutrition are having an unintended consequence: Hungry kids.

Parents who have a choice tend to choose high-scoring schools! And those schools usually have lots of affluent and middle-class white and Asian-American students and few low-income blacks and Latinos.
