A former Obama administration Cabinet official lashed out at Hillary Clinton for disparaging the women who accused her husband Bill of sexual misconduct or assault.
“Not only did people look the other way, but they went after the women who came forward and accused him.”
The View co-host Joy Behar callously dismissed the women who accused former President Bill Clinton of sexual assault and rape as “so-called victims,” on Wednesday’s show.

In her 2014 Vanity Fair article looking back on the scandal, Lewinsky wrote, “I will always remain firm on this point: it was a consensual relationship.
Any ‘abuse’ came in the aftermath, when I was made a scapegoat in order to protect his powerful position.”
The Clinton campaign in 1992 reportedly spent $100,000 on private-detective work related to women. The approach, when rumors first surfaced, was to get affidavits from women denying affairs — the reflex of most women is to avoid exposure — and, failing that, to use any discrediting tool at hand.
Hillary was fully on board. When a rock groupie alleged that a state trooper approached her on Governor Clinton’s behalf, Hillary said “we have to destroy her story.”

An archive of correspondence, diary entries, memos and notes from conversations kept by one of Hillary Clinton’s closest friends portray her as “a strong, ambitious and ruthless Democratic operative,” according to a conservative website that went through the documents.
The papers offer a look at Hillary Clinton’s mindset through some of the most difficult parts of her husband’s presidency, including the Monica Lewinsky scandal. According to the friend, Diane Blair -- a political science professor whose papers were donated to the University of Arkansas Special Collections library – Hillary Clinton credited Bill Clinton with trying to break away from Lewinsky, whom she called a “narcissistic loony toon.”

Joy Behar, a co-host of ABC’s “The View,” on Tuesday apologized for calling the women who have accused former President Bill Clinton of rape and sexual assault “tramps.”
“I want to apologize," Behar said Tuesday on the show. "I never, ever intend to belittle sexual assault and the women who are victims of it ever. ... I made a joke. ... I’m sorry.”
Bill Clinton Lawyer Robert Bennet...
Bennett found himself under fire for his talk show performance. The Times accused him of "threatening on national television to ruin Ms. Jones's reputation by bringing up her sexual history."
Patricia Ireland, head of the National Organization for Women, charged him with using a "nuts and sluts defense." Maureen Dowd called Bennett "the latest Clinton henchman to slime himself."
A Democrat smearing the accusers...
"Drag a hundred-dollar bill through a trailer park, and you never know what you'll find."
"And the private detectives who were sicced on these women ... were hired by Hillary Clinton. I took the deposition of (one) and confirmed that (he was) hired through Hillary's lawyer.
So there's a lot of different evidence here, direct and circumstantial, that places Hillary at the center of these acts against the women."
"They made fun of me. They didn’t believe me. They said I was making it up."

In a pattern that would later be repeated with other women, the investigator’s staff scoured Arkansas and beyond, collecting disparaging accounts from ex-boyfriends, employers and others who claimed to know Ms. Flowers, accounts that the campaign then disseminated to the news media.
By the time Mr. Clinton finally admitted to “sexual relations” with Ms. Flowers, years later, Clinton aides had used stories collected by the private investigator to brand her as a "bimbo" and a "pathological liar."...
Mrs. Clinton herself took aim at Ms. Flowers in a June 1992 appearance on “The Arsenio Hall Show” better remembered for Mr. Clinton’s saxophone playing. Mr. Hall asked Mrs. Clinton about Ms. Flowers: “You know what her problem is?”
“She’s got lots of problems,” Mrs. Clinton said.
