CNN and MSNBC have provided scant coverage of last week’s New York Times bombshell on New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s (D) nursing home scandal, which reported that the effort to hide the pandemic death toll in nursing homes was far greater than previously known.

"[T]hink the Catholic Church has a problem?" she said. "The physical sexual abuse of students in schools is likely more than 100 times the abuse by priests."
So, in order to better protect children, did media outlets start hounding the worse menace of the school systems, with headlines about a "Nationwide Teacher Molestation Cover-up" and by asking "Are Ed Schools Producing Pedophiles?"
No, they didn't. That treatment was reserved for the Catholic Church, while the greater problem in the schools was ignored altogether.

More than 24 hours after authorities announced the arrest of a California man who allegedly tried to stab a Republican congressional candidate, CNN has yet to inform its audience of the story.
Farzad Fazeli, 35, allegedly made disparaging remarks about the Republican Party before pulling out a switchblade and attempting to stab Rudy Peters at a festival Sunday, according to the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office. Peters is the Republican nominee in California’s 15th Congressional District, where he is challenging incumbent Democratic Rep. Eric Swalwell.
The sheriff’s office arrested Fazeli on Tuesday and announced it to the public that afternoon. But by Wednesday evening, CNN had published zero articles on the attempted stabbing.

Media outlets are leaving out a key detail about the New Mexico compound leaders who were reportedly training young children to commit school shootings.
Eleven children were recently rescued from the “filthy” compound, which police say appears to be run by Siraj Wahhaj and Lucas Morten. Wahhaj, the son of a prominent imam, was accused in court documents released Wednesday of training the children on the compound to commit school shootings.
Taos County Sheriff Jerry Hogrefe said Tuesday that he believes Wahhaj and Morten are “extremist[s] of the Muslim belief.” Wahhaj’s father is a controversial cleric with ties to Muslim rights groups and was an un-indicted co-conspirator in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing case.

Speaking on ABC's "This Week," Cokie Roberts made a startling admission: "every female in the press corps knew" to avoid being in an elevator with Rep. John Conyers (D-MI), and has apparently known about this "for years." Conyers has been accused of multiple instances of sexual harassment and has stepped down from the House Judiciary Committee.
Despite the allegations against him, major players in the Democratic Party have defended Conyers and will not say that he should resign. Pelosi even referred to the embattled congressman as an "icon."...
"Don’t get in the elevator with him, you know, and the whole every female in the press corps knew that, right, don’t get in elevator with him," said Roberts. She continued, "Now people are saying it out loud. And I think that does make a difference."

The New York Times did not cover a controversial meeting that took place between U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch and former president Bill Clinton more than 24 hours after the news broke, a review of the Times news reports shows. Lynch confirmed to a Phoenix ABC affiliate Wednesday that she met with Clinton, whose wife Hillary Clinton is currently under investigation by federal authorities. The news was picked up throughout the day by other outlets including CNN, the Washington Post and CBS.
Jan. 2021: New York Times Uninterested In Facts That Damage Their Narrative...
But while the press is happy to report things that advance the Narrative, its greatest tool is ignoring stories it doesn’t want talked about. With all the interest in police shootings in other settings, reporters have been steadfastly incurious about the shooting of Babbitt. She was an unarmed woman shot to death, whatever the justice of her cause (or lack thereof).
And we don’t even know who shot her. Unlike Brian Sicknick, whose name was shared everywhere as part of the Times’ misinformation-spreading, the name of the Capitol officer who shot Babbitt has been kept secret. And the press is fine with that.
It’s all about the Narrative.

And a crusading media? These are the same people who had a presidential nominee’s son cold taking megabucks from foreigners – including the Chi Coms – and who was blasting rails off the behinds of strippers, and they actively suppressed the story because it would hurt their preferred candidate.
If a Republican President had invaded Libya and overthrown its government, then left bloody chaos, terrorism and rampant arms smuggling behind, our courageous press corps would be all over the story like a chicken on a June bug... But the latest news, that slave markets are now operating in Libya, where desperate black Africans are being bought and sold as slaves, ought to trigger some kind of response. -Walter Russell Mead

BROKAW: Yeah, it’s an interesting question. ROSE: He is principally known through his autobiography and through very aspirational (sic) speeches. BROKAW: Two of them! Union protesters called hot dog vendor “Uncle Tom” and “N*gger” but you won’t hear about it in the mainstream media. I have posted numerous times about the union violence in Lansing, including punches thrown at Steven Crowder and the tearing down of the Americans for Prosperity tent even as bystanders screamed that there were people inside. You may also have heard the story of the hot dog vendor whose equipment and supplies were deliberately destroyed by the union protesters. But unless you read conservative blogs and websites, you have not heard that the union protesters shouted racial slurs at the man, including the N-word. -William A. Jacobson

If you need another example of egregious media bias, how can it be less than 24 hours after the arrest of a U.S. Senator’s illegal alien sex offender intern there’s not a single story found on the main page of New Jersey’s largest newspaper? All that can be found is a tiny item on the main page linking to comments about the story. Is it not newsworthy enough to have a follow-up story? Then you can search for “Robert Menendez” on their main page and you get … nothing related to the story.

There was no story last week on the Afghanistan death “milestone” on ABC, NBC, the PBS NewsHour – or even on the MSNBC programs found in Nexis, including Rachel “Our Military’s In a Perilous Drift” Maddow. The Big Three networks devoted 14 morning and evening news stories to the death toll from October 24 through the end of October, and another 24 anchor briefs or mentions. They used the number to spell “disaster for this White House.”

Whatever you think of Breitbart.com’s punishing vetting process, it has exposed just how little work the mainstream media did in investigating candidate Obama back in 2008. The latest find is a fascinating inversion of the birther conspiracy. Breitbart.com has discovered that in 1991 Barack Obama’s literary agent (who also represented New Kids on the Block) published a booklet that included a biography of the future President... Here’s how it describes the author’s origins: Barack Obama, the first African-American president of the Harvard Law Review, was born in Kenya and raised in Indonesia and Hawaii.

That a conservative online newspaper could have understood the significance of the archive, and actually examined its public contents, seemed too much an embarrassment for the staffs of the major newspapers and networks and magazines to bear. News outlets that are focusing on the incendiary rhetoric of conservatives outside President Obama's town hall meeting Tuesday ignored the incendiary rhetoric -- and even violence -- of liberals outside an appearance by former President George W. Bush in 2002. When Bush visited Portland, Ore., for a fundraiser, protesters stalked his motorcade, assailed his limousine and stoned a car containing his advisers. Chanting "Bush is a terrorist!", the demonstrators bullied passers-by, including gay softball players and a wheelchair-bound grandfather with multiple sclerosis. One protester even brandished a sign that seemed to advocate Bush's assassination. The man held a large photo of Bush that had been doctored to show a gun barrel pressed against his temple.
