Strangely, actual violence on campuses (and elsewhere) seems to be the monopoly of the left.
Such as this incident at Berkeley today, where a student with a table on Sproul Plaza promoting Turning Point USA was assaulted. Notice that the leftist thug says the Turning Point person is “promoting violence,” while he is the only one throwing punches.

A conservative activist was assaulted at UC Berkeley on Tuesday while recruiting for the conservative non-profit organization Turning Point USA. The unprovoked assault, captured on video from two angles, shows a man wearing a black shirt and pants accosting Hayden Williams, a campus representative for Leadership Institute.
The assailant angrily shouted obscenities at Williams, knocking his phone out of his hand, and punching him in the face. The man accused Williams of "encouraging violence" just before attacking him...
While all this was happening, a number of students were standing around doing nothing. One woman can actually be heard congratulating the assailant, saying, "You won this fight, dude. I'm with you." Students at other tables were laughing as the assault was happening, the victim told Campus Reform.

Eight people were in custody Saturday after a crowd of angry protesters broke windows and threw burning torches at UC Berkeley Chancellor Robert Birgeneau’s campus residence in protest of fee hikes and budget cuts, authorities said.

Sadly, this week, it was revealed that the allegations Alexandra Pennell made were fake, and of her own doing.
A surveillance camera placed in a hall closet without Pennell's knowledge caught her slipping a note under her door. She then returned with her friends afterward to "find" it... Our response was instantaneous and successful, only with the thought of our students' safety on our minds. The message and goal that hate crimes will not be permitted was powerful. The university succeeded with its strong message against hate.

IOWA CITY, Iowa -- A suspended University of Iowa radiology professor asked a three-member faculty panel Friday to overlook his erratic behavior and recommend he not be fired. Speaking via Skype from his home country of Jordon, Malik Juweid didn't deny expressing hope that people he opposed would die, but he claimed that in Arabic cultures, wishing death upon someone isn't a threat, the Gazette of Cedar Rapids reported.
"In Arabic countries, people would say 'I hope God will take you'," Juweid said. Administrators put Juweid on paid leave in January 2011 for what it called disruptive behavior, including sending harassing emails to colleagues despite repeated warning. Juweid has continued to earn his $241,000 per-year salary since then.
