Some staffers in the Biden White House would rather miss their boss speak in public than endure another gaffe, according to a new report.
Anxiety about what President Joe Biden might say if he takes questions from the media drives some in the White House to mute him or turn off his public appearances altogether, Politico reported Tuesday, citing White House officials.

President Biden on Thursday told Jewish leaders that he spent time at the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh after the October 2018 mass murder of 11 people there — but the synagogue told The Post he never visited.
“I remember spending time at the, you know, going to the, you know, the Tree of Life synagogue, speaking with them,” Biden said in a 16-minute virtual address ahead of the Jewish holidays Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.
Barb Feige, executive director of the Tree of Life, said that Biden did not visit the synagogue in the nearly three years since the anti-Semitic attack.

ABC is being called out for editing out portions of President Biden’s interview on the deadly chaos in Afghanistan where he made gaffes about his son Beau — the network included the lines in the transcript, but did not put them on air.
A day after Biden’s interview with George Stephanopoulos aired on Wednesday, ABC published the full transcript online.
Sections of the interview revealed in the full transcript, including a part where Biden mistakenly said his late son Beau served in Iraq with the Navy instead of the Army, and in Afghanistan, where he wasn’t deployed, were omitted from airing...
"Look, that’s like askin’ my deceased son Beau, who spent six months in Kosovo and a year in Iraq as a Navy captain and then major – I mean, as an Army major. And, you know, I’m sure he had regrets comin’ out of Afghanistan– I mean, out of Iraq."
Biden is not running America. Check out poor Joe's press conferences. As soon as his empty mind starts to wander, or the press asks him any question more difficult than, "What is your favorite flavor of ice cream?" someone cuts off his microphone. Who? Who makes that decision? Who gives that order?
Find that guy or group. Because they are clearly more powerful than the president of the United States. That guy or group is running our country.

Democrat Joe Biden made a troubling admission during a Thursday press conference when he revealed that he is "instructed" on what to do.
While speaking to the media about the deadly terrorist attack at Kabul airport on Thursday, Biden admitted to reporters that he's told who "to call on."
"They gave me a list," Biden confessed to members of the press.
On Thursday, Biden told CNN’s Anderson Cooper he would defend Taiwan. “Yes, we have a commitment to do that,” the President said, responding to a question about what the U.S. would do if China attacked the island republic...
Biden’s definitive statement was a stark departure from America’s decades-old policy of “strategic ambiguity,” the policy of telling neither Beijing nor Taipei what the U.S. would do in the case of imminent conflict...

Biden, as Commander-in-Chief, makes foreign policy. The Constitution does not give that power to Psaki, Price, or Austin. Beijing may wonder—as should Americans and others—if Biden is still in charge.
Peter Doocy of FOX News asked Joe Biden about the payments of $450,000 to illegal immigrants who were separated from their families at the border under Trump. Biden called the report “garbage.”
Now the White House is contradicting him.

President Biden raised eyebrows on Thursday as he began taking questions from reporters for the first time since the Kabul terror attacks.
Hours after two suicide bombings outside the airport that left at least 13 U.S. servicemen dead, Biden broke his silence and offered a somber message to the nation amid the military withdrawal from Afghanistan.
While it has become normalized for the president to rely on a list of pre-selected reporters, he made a rather stunning admission in the process.
"Ladies and gentlemen, they gave me a list here. The first person I was instructed to call on was Kelly O'Donnell from NBC," Biden kicked off the press conference.
"His handlers are losing control."

A slip by President Biden at the G-7 summit Sunday may have revealed just how carefully his staff tries to handle the commander-in-chief when he faces questions from the media.
Biden cracked that he'd get "in trouble" with his handlers if he failed to take questions from just the pre-planned list of reporters at his news conference at the end of the three-day G-7 summit of world leaders in Britain on Sunday - or if he took one too many.
"I’m sorry, I’m going to get in trouble with staff if I don’t do this the right way," Biden said after calling on Bloomberg News reporter Jennifer Jacobs.

After this obnoxious outburst, Biden wandered off, literally, to tell an aide he’d had enough, before returning to the mic to give an angry diatribe about his Irish great-grandfather.

New photos reveal several cheat sheets used by President Biden during his Thursday press conference — including one with the headshots and names of reporters he planned to call on. The press pool at Thursday’s briefing, the first one held by Biden since taking office 65 days ago, was limited to 25 reporters.
Biden only took questions from a list of journalists whose names and outlets he read from a cue card. A photo of the card shows circled numbers around select reporters.
In the early stages of the 62-minute presser, in which Biden fielded 10 questions, the president appeared to repeatedly lose his train of thought, forgetting questions and asking reporters if they wanted him to give detailed answers.

Former Vice President Joe Biden, the frontrunner for the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination, told a Detroit union auto-worker on Tuesday as Michiganders went to the polls that the worker was "full of shit" and threatened to fight him.
"You want to go outside with me?" Biden asked the auto-worker during a tense exchange on gun rights in which the former vice president referred to "AR-14s" and asked why anyone would need "100 rounds" in a machine gun.
Biden Loses Train Of Thought
The resulting leadership vacuum is so apparent that a well-connected Dem who asked a White House confidant how Biden could have chosen such an uninspiring roster of top aides was told Biden didn’t make the choices.
Preelection concerns that President Joe Biden wasn’t physically or mentally up for his new job at age 78, the oldest-ever chief executive, are now settling in as the public sees him slow-walking, refusing to consider questions at press conferences, and seemingly befuddled with the crisis in Afghanistan.

President Joe Biden struggled to name of his Defense Secretary, Lloyd Austin, during an event marking International Women’s Day at the White House on Monday.
“So I want to thank you both, and I want to thank the sec… the former general, I keep calling him general but my… my, uh… the guy who runs that outfit over there,” Biden said as he wrapped up his speech.
Austin served as a general in the Army and was nominated by Biden to be the first black Secretary of Defense.

Biden's Decline: Just Scary...
Conservative media has been calling out Joe Biden’s cognitive decline for a long time. During the presidential campaign, we were the ones sounding the alarm bells while the mainstream media covered for him.
At times it was amusing, yet also a bit scary. This man is running for president? The most powerful position in the world?
Now, it’s just scary.
56.5% of American voters do not believe that President Biden is fully executing the duties of his office, while 36.4% believe he is directing all policy and agenda.

Former President Barack Obama accused retired Navy doctor and Texas Rep. Ronny Jackson of betrayal for suggesting that President Joe Biden isn’t mentally up for the job and should be forced to pass a cognitive test, the Republican has revealed.
In a podcast with fellow Republican Rep. Jim Banks, Jackson said that just 20 minutes after he tweeted a note about Biden’s recent mental flubs, the former president wrote him a “scathing” email.
“An entire page about how disappointed he was in me and how it’s beneath me as a physician and beneath me as an officer in the military to be attacking Joe Biden like this. And it was a betrayal of the trust that he and his administration put in me and he was so disappointed in me and yada, yada,” said Jackson.
“It was unbelievable,” Jackson added.
"Something’s SERIOUSLY wrong with Biden – and it’s only going to get WORSE! It’s past the point of embarrassment. He’s lost. He’s confused. He can barely put a coherent sentence together. He MUST have a cognitive exam and release the results!"
