Why keep voting for Democrats?

Blue States: Ruining The Lives Of Minorities

"African American communities throughout the country are doing horribly under Democratic-run cities, and that’s why I want to put an end to it." -Garry Cobb, Retired NFL linebacker

Many liberals, for instance, tell us that racism is one of the most pressing problems in America. And yet few things have hurt African Americans more over the past 40 years than the inner-city public school system.

If President Obama is correct, and educational attainment is the key to breaking out of a lower economic strata, then no institution is driving inequality quite as effectively as public schools. Go To Site

Although they may have a reputation for progressive politics and free thinking, an activist and author says liberal-leaning cities like Madison, Minneapolis and San Francisco are actually among the worst places to live for African Americans and other people of color when it comes to racial disparities. “We want to make it very much known that the young people who are causing the violence in our community are not terrorists.” ... “They are not urban terrorists, they are the products of bad urban policy.” -Detroit National Action Network Rev. Charles Williams Go To Site

I went to hear David Horowitz speak in 2004. My intention was to heckle him. Horowitz said something that interrupted my flow of thought. He pointed out that Camden, Paterson, and Newark had decades of Democratic leadership... Within a few short decades, Paterson, Camden, and Newark devolved into unlivable slums, with shooting deaths, drug deals, and garbage-strewn streets. -Danusha V. Goska Go To Site

Minneapolis-St. Paul. San Francisco. Chicago. Even Madison, Wisconsin. If you are politically liberal and value relatively high levels of income equality, you might live in one of these quintessentially liberal U.S. cities. Yet all four lurk in the bottom half of the 2014 National Urban League's State of Black America report on income inequality between blacks and whites. Among the many places where black-white income is less skewed are Phoenix, Arizona, Nashville, Tennessee and Columbia, South Carolina. -Francis Wilkinson Go To Site

A retired NFL linebacker said he is running for Congress as a Republican because Democrats have failed the black community. “African American communities throughout the country are doing horribly under Democratic-run cities, and that’s why I want to put an end to it,” Garry Cobb said. Go To Site

Democrat, Liberal, Crime, Narrative, Education

Yolanda Johnson told reporters she was leaving home, and she is not alone. Blacks are fleeing northern urban centers in record numbers, many of them heading back to the South in what has been called “the Great Return.” They are fleeing the crime and the awful schools and seeking opportunity and a better quality of life. Between 2000 and 2010, an estimated 1,336,097 blacks moved to seven major southern cities alone, according to the Brookings Institute, which compiled the most recent data from the U.S. Census. Today, 57 percent of the country’s black population lives in the South, a 50-year high. Young black males are killing one another in epic proportions, and blacks are moving in record numbers from cities like Chicago and Detroit, and the media just yawn. -Lee Habeeb, NRO

Democrat, Liberal, Government, Incompetence, Character, Education

The 17-year-old Hill told The Detroit News that so many teachers have been simultaneously absent from school that dozens of students had been forced to gather in the gym or other common school areas. Students also went for long periods without homework, and Hill said he struggled on a recent placement exam at Bowling Green State University, where he's been accepted to attend next year. "I literally couldn't answer a question on there," Hill said. "Right now, I'm not going to be as successful as I should be because I haven't been properly taught."

Liberal, Violence, Incompetence

In the inner city, a health problem is making it harder for young people to learn. The Centers for Disease Control said 30 percent of inner city kids suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). The CDC said these children often live in virtual war zones. Doctors at Harvard said they actually suffer from a more complex form of PTSD that some call “hood disease.” Unlike soldiers, children in the inner city never leave the combat zone. They often experience trauma, repeatedly.

The ultimate reasons may be hard to pin down, but a lot of liberal northern cities have truly lousy track records of fostering black-white economic equality, as well as integrated neighborhoods and schools. -Francis Wilkinson Go To Site
