Democrats struggling to rebuild their party after their stunning 2016 presidential defeat were dealt another blow on Thursday: Donna Brazile’s acknowledgement that the Democratic National Committee tipped the scales in favor of Hillary Clinton during last year’s primary. -Amie Parnes
It is not easy to expose the wrongdoing of powerful people or powerful organizations, especially if you have spent years in service to them.
So, I tip my hat to Donna Brazile, a long-time Democratic Party operative and former interim chair of the DNC, for laying bare the mismanagement and exploitation of the organization she inherited last year.
The stunning revelation by longtime operative Donna Brazile that the Hillary Clinton campaign secretly took control — literal control — of the Democratic National Committee a year before Hillary became the party’s nominee is the talk of American politics. -John Podhoretz
Democratic National Committee (DNC) Chair Tom Perez admitted that the DNC fell short on ensuring that the Democrats’ presidential primary in 2016 was fair for everybody who ran during an interview on Tuesday.
Perez appeared on “The Thom Hartmann Program” to discuss accusations that the DNC rigged the primary process in favor of Hillary Clinton. -Tom Perez
"This was not a criminal act, but as I saw it, it compromised the party's integrity."

In June 2016, a class action lawsuit was filed against the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and former DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz for violating the DNC Charter by rigging the Democratic presidential primaries for Hillary Clinton against Bernie Sanders.
Even former Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid admitted in July 2016, ““I knew—everybody knew—that this was not a fair deal.” He added that Debbie Wasserman Schultz should have resigned much sooner than she did. The lawsuit was filed to push the DNC to admit their wrongdoing and provide Bernie Sanders supporters, who supported him financially with millions of dollars in campaign contributions, with restitution for being cheated.
On August 25, 2017, Federal Judge William Zloch, dismissed the lawsuit after several months of litigation during which DNC attorneys argued that the DNC would be well within their rights to rig primaries and select their own candidate.
"That victory fund was supposed to be for whoever was the nominee, and the state party races. You're telling me that Hillary has been controlling it since before she got the nomination?"
Congratulations to Hillary Clinton: Democratic Woman of the Year Award
Hillary Clinton was awarded "the 2017 Democratic Woman of the Year Award" Thursday, as an explosive tell-all about how she secretly took over the DNC to rig the 2016 primaries rocked the political world.
When I hung up the call to Bernie, I started to cry, not out of guilt, but out of anger. We would go forward. We had to.
A Democrat is Ashamed and Appalled...
As a Democrat, I am ashamed and appalled by the alleged conduct of the DNC and the Clinton campaign in the last cycle as outlined by Brazile in Politico.
DNC Chair: "We Have Trust Gaps"...
"I'll be the first to admit that we have to earn the trust of everybody. And I'll be the first to admit that the DNC didn't put its best foot forward in 2016 and because of that we have trust gaps."
"Now there’s confirmation of it, and they have every right to be angry about it because they knew it all along."
Democrats Denied Coordination...
They were in desperate financial straights and saw no other choice but to accept a bailout. So the DNC accepted the deal.
But then, they denied any coordination between Clinton and the party, insisting they were neutral and dismissing the cries from the Bernie Sanders camp that the fix was in.
All along, the party’s denials were apparently a cover-up for the truth: Hillary’s team owned the DNC.

Secretly recorded audio of Clinton speaking at a private, February fundraiser was released late Friday night. In it, Clinton can be heard referring to Sanders’ “lost generation”, as she called them.
“Some are new to politics completely. They’re children of the Great Recession. And they are living in their parents’ basement,” she told her audience.
