In 2000, for example, an NAACP ad recreated the gruesome murder of James Byrd to imply that then-Gov. Bush was sympathetic to lynching black men. Over footage of a chain being dragged by a pickup truck, Mr. Byrd’s daughter says, “So when Gov. George W. Bush refused to support hate-crimes legislation, it was like my father was killed all over again.” - William McGurn
When you say that anything George Bush has done is akin to what Hitler did, you make the Holocaust into nothing more than an example of partisan excess. Tax cuts are not genocide, as so many Democrats have suggested over the years. -Jonah Goldberg

Students at Duquesne University are petitioning their school to reconsider a plan to bring Chick-fil-A to campus, arguing the fast-food restaurant’s support for traditional marriage would create an unsafe environment for gay students. Niko Martini, a student senator at the Pittsburgh university, filed a petition with the student government asking the school to reconsider the inclusion of Chick-fil-A in its Options Food Court.

Rob Reiner: Trump Assuredly Commiting Treason
Upon Donald Trump's swearing in tomorrow he will be violating the constitution and most assuredly committing treason. God help us.— Rob Reiner (@robreiner) January 20, 2017
Nicholas Kristof Budget Cut Demagoguery
Reading through the Trump budget, I feel as the Romans must have felt in 456 AD as the barbarians conquered and ushered in the dark ages.— Nicholas Kristof (@NickKristof) March 16, 2017
"The thing is, we have to really reach out to those who might consider voting for Trump and say, “This is Goebbels. This is the final solution. If you are voting for him I will have to shoot you before election day.” They’re not going to listen to reason, so when justice is gone, there’s always force, as Laurie would say."

Appearing as a panel member for CNN's live election coverage on Saturday, liberal CNN political commentator and Daily Beast columnist Sally Kohn hyperbolically predicted that a President Donald Trump would put people in "internment camps" and get rid of habeas corpus when it was her turn to give final thoughts on the day's news...
"And I'm worried. When he institutes internment camps and suspends habeas, we'll all look back and feel pretty bad."
"I didn’t know devils could be resurrected, but I feel Hitler in these streets."
“He asked me, will we have any more New Years, once Trump gets the nuclear codes?”

Rather than White KKK Robes
Police murder of young black men throughout America: lynching in modern blue garb rather than white KKK robes. It must be stopped.— Laurence Tribe (@tribelaw) July 8, 2016
