Occupy Los Angeles has chosen to honor Chris Dorner in the wake of his death, despite the body count he apparently amassed. Dorner, who had been on the run as a suspect in a recent killing spree, was reportedly killed Tuesday during a shootout that left one law enforcement officer dead and another wounded. The statement of support and solidarity was posted on the Occupy Los Angeles’ official Facebook page Wednesday. The statement came in the form of a posted picture captioned with the phrases “Rest In Power Chris Dorner” and “Assassinated By The Police for Trying To Expose LAPD Corruption.” The Occupy Los Angeles page has nearly 56,000 likes and supporters.

The protesters split away at 9 p.m. from an Occupy rally in Dolores Park that was held in advance of Tuesday's May Day actions. Traveling down 18th Street and onto Valencia Street, they smashed windows with crowbars and signs, threw paint and eggs on buildings and spray-painted anarchy symbols on the hoods of parked cars. "All I heard was, 'bang, bang, bang,' and some dude had the valet sign, trying to break our window," said Adam Koskoff, manager of the Locanda restaurant on Valencia. It happened near the Federal Reserve Bank on Market Street in the Financial District just after 11:30 Monday night. Police found a man suffering from a stab wound to his neck... This latest round of violence comes a day after another stabbing at the same location on Sunday night. A 28-year old man is still in critical condition after being attacked. Police are also searching for the suspect.

When 26-year-old Nathan Shafer heard about the arrests of 19 Occupy Columbia members outside the State House last Wednesday, he did what lots of people do when they get angry -- he vented about it on the Internet. The Department of Enterprise Services said there are escalating public safety concerns at Heritage Park. A small riot broke out in Pioneer Park in Thursday’s pre-dawn hours, causing Occupy SLC campers to call police after attempts to defuse the melee failed. The Salt Lake City Police Department said officers responded at 3:27 a.m. to a fight involving as many as 30 people. A Zuccotti Park protester threw a violent fit in a McDonald’s yesterday after employees refused to give him free food. Fisika Bezabeh, 27, ripped a credit-card reader from a counter and threw it at workers at about 2:30 a.m. at the Mickey D’s at 160 Broadway, a bathroom spot for protesters. No one was hurt by Bezabeh, who has been seen hanging out with protesters in the occupied park, police sources said. He has been charged with criminal mischief.
