Liberals: They Love to Hate.

George W Bush

While the general impression during the 2004 presidential campaign was that Democrat John Kerry was the intellectual superior to President Bush, it turns out that their grades while undergraduate students at Yale were remarkably similar. In fact, Bush's were a tad higher.

Suffice it to say that the Nazis weren’t simply generically bad, they were uniquely and monumentally evil, not just in their hearts but also in literally billions of intentional, well-planned, and bureaucratized decisions they made every day.

And yet, in polite and supposedly sophisticated circles in America today it is acceptable to say George Bush is akin to a Nazi and that America is becoming Nazi-like. -Jonah Goldberg Go To Site

In the years since, the bogus “fake turkey” story keeps churning, including slipping into 2004 New York Times and Boston Globe articles, making it into talk radio shows in 2005 and popping up in Washington Post and London Telegraph stories in 2006. To this day, it still creeps into print in letters to the editor in newspapers around the country. -Stephen Dinan Go To Site

Political Science Professor Richard Dekmejian claims former President George W. Bush suffered from mental instability and stupidity during his time in office. Bush was bound by “serious intellectual and mental problems,” he said before going on to claim Bush must have been “stupid or lying” to initiate Operation Iraqi Freedom for the reason of promoting democracy. Dekmejian also alleges Bush dodged the draft when he was a young man because he was busy “getting drunk and high” and was “lazy for the first several months when he came into the presidency until 9/11.”

This is it: Mary Mapes knew before she put the story on the air that George W. Bush, the alleged slacker, had in fact volunteered to go to Vietnam. Who says? The outside panel CBS brought into to get to the bottom of the so-called “Rathergate” mess says.

It seems that the young George W. Bush, contrary to popular belief, did not join the Air National Guard in order to avoid service in Vietnam. Indeed he seems to have volunteered for combat duty in Vietnam, under a program known as Operation Palace Watch.

President George W. Bush’s critics have found it hard to overlook the extensive work Bush has done on behalf of Africa, both when he was president (through the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief) and after leaving office, though the auspices of the Bush Center. His efforts have saved thousands if not millions of lives on the continent — not bad for a man who reportedly doesn’t care about black people. -Twitchy Staff Go To Site
