"This guy looks like he’s up to no good. He looks black."

Former MSNBC anchor David Shuster said the network should have owned up to its mistake. MSNBC is reviewing its portrayal of the testimony of Neil Heslin, the father of a Sandy Hook victim, at a legislative hearing in Hartford on Monday. The 33-second video clip in question, embedded above, features a graphics box saying “Mocked and Loaded. No stranger to selectively edited video clips, MSNBC on Monday aired a misleading and incomplete clip of testimony given by the father of a Sandy Hook victim at a hearing before the Connecticut Legislature. The edited version of his remarks, aired on Martin Bashir’s show, make it appear as if pro-gun advocates maliciously interrupted (or “heckled” as many have said) the dad for no reason as he calmly argued against civilians owning semi-automatic rifles and high-capacity magazines... MSNBC decided to completely remove the portion of the video where Heslin asks his rhetorical question. Does that mean no one would have spoke up had Heslin not posed the question? That’s impossible to say. But what is clear is that by removing the full remarks, MSNBC cheated its audience of making up its mind about what the video shows. And although a relatively small edit, the absence of the question changes the context drastically.

Conservatives said the edited footage made it appear as though Neil Heslin was shouted down by Second Amendment advocates at a hearing in Connecticut, and rival network anchor Anderson Cooper agreed. NBC News has re-aired a video its critics say was selectively edited after finding itself embroiled in another controversy about edited video. But in the MSNBC clip, which first aired on Andrea Mitchell Reports, Romney's remarks begin with the WaWa anecdote and end at "It's amazing," an edit -- first noted by conservative blogger Sooper Mexican -- that makes it seem as though Romney was expressing amazement at the advent of touchtone screens. The MSNBC clip feeds into the narrative, beloved by some on the left, that Romney is a 1950's throwback. After the clip cut, Mitchell and MSNBC contributor Chris Cillizza broke out into laughter -- which is understandable, given that they both had been led to believe that Romney was wowed by a simple machine. HypocriteSept. 2014: NBC is so determined to keep “Today” host Matt Lauer happy after its rocky patch with the show, it’s agreed to foot the bill for helicopters to fly him to the Hamptons and back.

Hypocrite"So you can look me in the eye and say that you are a president committed to cleaning up the environment?" -Matt Lauer to President George W. Bush

Hypocrite"Our assault on nature is killing off the very things we depend on for our own lives....The stark reality is that there are simply too many of us, and we consume way too much, especially here at home....It will take a massive global effort to make things right, but the solutions are not a secret: control population, recycle, reduce consumption, develop green technologies." -Matt Lauer

A TV news anchor in Santa Teresa, New Mexico was arrested for beating her husband. Adrienne Alvarez, an anchor and reporter for NBC affiliate KTSM in El Paso, Texas, was arrested early Thursday morning on battery charges. Police determined that Alvarez was the ‘primary aggressor’ against her husband and arrested her on charges of battery against a household member, taking her to the Doña Ana County Detention Center. Alvarez was released later Thursday morning on $1,000 bail.

Ex-MSNBC employee David Shuster described his former network a "mouthpiece for the [Obama] administration" in a National Journal article looking at the cable network's very real ratings crisis. The left-wing Schuster says, "When you're too predictably a mouthpiece for the administration and you cast your lot with the president's performance, there's a risk." Go To Site

This is simply the worst example I have seen of a discriminatory stereotypical portrayal of any community by any media. The fact that this was done by a news organization is abominable... The National Association of Hispanic Journalists (NAHJ) denounces the actions taken by the MSNBC journalists for their capricious actions, lack of judgment, insensitivity and attack of the Mexican community.

Commenting on President Obama’s discussion with African leaders at the first U.S.-Africa Business Forum, NBC’s Chris Jansing noted “the fact that he’s from Kenya” will help. “The fact that he’s from Kenya and the fact that when he was elected there were expectations on the African continent that he would do great things for them, this is a concerted effort by this administration to get American companies to invest,” Jansing said.

NBC chief medical editor and correspondent Dr. Nancy Snyderman apologized for violating quarantine guidelines after traveling to Liberia to cover the Ebola outbreak... “While under voluntary quarantine guidelines, which called for our team to avoid public contact for 21 days, members of our group violated those guidelines and understand that our quarantine is now mandatory until 21 days have passed," said a statement from Snyderman, which Brian Williams read on NBC Nightly News.

At MSNBC, if you’re a racist, that apparently means you’re a Republican.

Host Kasie Hunt teased an upcoming segment at the left-wing network Wednesday on the furor over Joe Biden saying he used to be able to work with senators who were segregationists and lamenting the partisanship of today.

He named Sens. James Eastland of Mississippi and Herman Talmadge of Georgia.

“Still to come, Joe Biden references his relationships with two former Republican colleagues at an event in New York City. The only problem? They were both segregationists,” she said.

There was another problem — albeit a problem with Ms. Hunt.

Both Eastland and Talmadge were Democrats.

MSNBC anchor Stephanie Ruhle admitted Monday that she curses at President Donald Trump while taking showers. Referring to the recent expletive comments that celebrities Robert De Niro and Samantha Bee have made against members of the Trump family, Ruhle admitted, “I’m sure I shout some of those words in the shower.”

De Niro shouted “f**k Trump!” during his Tony Awards speech Sunday night: “It’s no longer ‘down with Trump,’ it’s f**k Trump.” And TBS’s Bee called First Daughter Ivanka Trump a “feckless c**t” during a live monologue in May. Ruhle said those words are not “just crude language.”

“Because to me, I understand the frustration and outrage around the president,” she admitted, but then said celebrities unleashing on Trump may actually help his agenda.

Racism, Bigotry at MSNBC: Targeting Truck Drivers...

"This is an industry populated by a lot of white men over the age of 55. This group of people overwhelmingly voted for Trump. Some people have talked about aggressive truck drivers cutting them off or not being helpful. So, obviously, the more populated it is with people of color, I think you’ll see less of that."
