Former speech writers Jon Favreau and Jon Lovett joked on television how they had easily deluded the public on the downsides of Obamacare. Special advisor Jonathan Gruber laughed at the “stupidity of the American voter” who was easily deceived by the administration and media about the nature of Obamacare. -Victor Davis Hanson
In promoting ObamaCare, Obama repeatedly and shamelessly lied to the American people: “If you like the plan you have, you can keep it. If you like the doctor you have, you can keep your doctor, too,” he said on June 6, 2009, in one of dozens of similar remarks. Obama knew this was untrue at the time; it was built into the plan that millions would lose the health plans they had. -Kyle Smith
Now that he no longer has to worry about elections and party politics, former Congressman Barney Frank is saying he was "appalled" at President Obama for lying to Americans as he rammed Obamacare through Congress.
And I hope you haven’t been making plans of what to do with that $2,500 a year you’ll be saving on premiums. The NPR poll confirms that that was just another in Obama’s litany of lies.
Forty-five percent of respondents said their premiums had gone up, while 46% said their premiums had stayed about the same. Only 4% said their premiums had actually gone down, as Obama promised they would. -William Tate
Klein made those comments in 2009, before Obamacare was passed, saying that liberals had to "put winning first" above being honest to get a healthcare reform law passed. Klein even admitted that liberals have a "sneaky strategy" to get something passed that puts America on the path toward a government-run "single payer" healthcare system. -Bryan Preston
Gruber is by no means alone in believing that American voters are "stupid" and must be lied to. Liberal policy wonk Ezra Klein, now editor at Vox.com, admitted that lying in order to get something like Obamacare passed is acceptable.

President Obama’s health care adviser Jonathan Gruber said that the Affordable Care Act would definitely not be affordable while he was writing the bill with the White House... Gruber said that Obamacare had no cost controls in it and would not be affordable in an October 2009 policy brief, presented here exclusively by TheDC. At the time, Gruber had already personally counseled Obama in the Oval Office and served on Obama’s presidential transition team. Obama, meanwhile, told the American people that their premiums would go down dramatically.
Obamacare Architect Jonathan Gruber:
"Stupidity of the American Voter"
“Lack of transparency is a huge political advantage,” says the MIT economist who helped write Obamacare. “And basically, call it the stupidity of the American voter or whatever, but basically that was really, really critical for the thing to pass.”
"Look, I wish ... we could make it all transparent, but I'd rather have this law than not." -Jonathan Gruber
"We have to pass the bill so you can find out what is in it." -Nancy Pelosi
"But frankly, he should never have said as much as he did, that if you like your current health care plan, you can keep it. That wasn't true. And you shouldn't lie to people. And they just lied to people." -Barney Frank

The Missouri branch of Organizing for Action, a group established to promote President Obama’s social agenda, sent out this tweet, according to Twitchy. “Not covered? Got a sugar daddy/momma to pay for those medical bills? Just wondering ofa.bo/dQU #BeatTheBuzzer— OFA MO (@OFA_MO) March 31, 2014”
In a rare moment of unvarnished candor, Gruber told an audience last year at the University of Pennsylvania the law passed because of the "stupidity of the American voter."

As if Cover Oregon, the Beaver State’s exchange, hasn’t been disastrous enough, Bruce Goldberg, the marketplace’s executive director, announced Monday its $21 million hipster ads would be pulled from the airwaves to shift the focus back to enrolling Oregonians. Set to the catchy jingle, “Live Long Oregon,” the costly ads feature folk singer Laura Gibson and promote Cover Oregon. “We think it’s appropriate to hold off on any further advertising,” Goldberg said during a press conference Monday, according to Northwest Watchdog.

Log Cabin Republicans, an advocacy group for gay conservatives and allies, is ripping a new Obamacare video ad that it says employs homosexual stereotypes to persuade gay men to enroll in Obamacare. The ad from Out2Enroll — an Obamacare LGBT outreach group — depicts well-toned shirtless men in tight bathing trunks dancing, hugging, opening presents, and enrolling on the Obamacare website... Significantly the Log Cabin Republicans’ executive director noted: “If anyone on the right made such a comparison, liberals would be apoplectic.”

It was a catchy political pitch and a chance to calm nerves about his dramatic and complicated plan to bring historic change to America’s health insurance system. Health Care Plan

Obamacare: "Fully Transparent"
"I would just advise every press outlet here: Pull up every clip and every story. I think it’s fair to say there was not a provision in the health care law that was not extensively debated and was fully transparent … It was a tough debate." -Barack Obama
"But we have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it, away from the fog of the controversy." -Nancy Pelosi
"Look, I wish ... we could make it all transparent, but I'd rather have this law than not." -Jonathan Gruber
