White lives do not matter, according to a student debater/activist from the University of West Georgia. Miguel Feliciano, along with fellow West Georgia student Damiyr Davis, reportedly participated in a recent debate with other students at Harvard University. During an exchange with their opponents, Feliciano suggested that white people should kill themselves because of their “white privilege.”
The chants of “F*** your white privilege,” she assured listeners, “were not personal or racist attacks on individual white persons in the library,” despite the testimony of multiple individuals that they were isolated, harassed, and even touched by the protesters. -Peter Fricke
This spring, Humpf publicized an “Undoing Whiteness” yoga class at Rainier Beach Yoga, geared toward white people wishing to “unpack the harmful ways white supremacy is embedded” in their “body, mind and heart.”
Along with providing a contemplative space, the class would dissect the “pathology of whiteness” - an obliviousness to the batch of privileges society grants white skin - and how it operates in daily life.

Children at a Raleigh, North Carolina grade school were given lessons on white privilege that left at least one parent demanding to know why 8-year-olds were being exposed to such radical concepts. Amber Pabon told television station ABC 11 that her son came home from Hunter Magnet Elementary School with one of the lessons in his folder...
“11-Step Guide to Understanding Race, Racism, and White Privilege” was sent to every parent and child at the school. It was part of an initiative led by the PTA, not the school.
“White dominates the culture, from our government leaders to our professors to our media stars,” the lesson read. “Yet – for the most part, for too many White Americans – whiteness remains unexamined. What does it mean to be white?” The lessons also urged students to eradicate the “idea of colorblindness.”

A math education professor at the University of Illinois argued in a newly published book that algebraic and geometry skills perpetuate “unearned privilege” among whites.
Rochelle Gutierrez, a professor at the University of Illinois, made the claim in a new anthology for math teachers, arguing that teachers must be aware of the “politics that mathematics brings” in society...
“On many levels, mathematics itself operates as Whiteness. Who gets credit for doing and developing mathematics, who is capable in mathematics, and who is seen as part of the mathematical community is generally viewed as White,” Gutierrez argued.

Students in a sociology class at San Diego State University can earn extra credit if they take a quiz to determine their level of “white privilege.”
Professor Dae Elliott offered the option to her sociology class students, a “White Privilege Checklist” that includes 20 questions that aim to illustrate that “racial privilege is one form of privilege.”

The Motley, a student run café on Scripps’ campus, has already held events exclusively for people of color, a form of segregation the guide justifies by asserting that some spaces are “harmful” for people of color, and that creating segregated safe spaces is simply “the least we can do” for non-white students.
“Anger is a legitimate response to oppression,” the authors state in their letter to white people, “as is sadness, fear, frustration, exhaustion, and a general distaste or hatred of white people.”
For many contemporary left-situated activists, privilege occupies the same role in a religion of contemporary identity politics. There is no greater sin than having been born an able-bodied, straight, white male who identifies as a man but isn't deeply sorry for this utterly unintentional state of affairs. -James A. MSNBC host Melissa Harris-Perry derailed a conversation about potential Speaker of the House Paul Ryan (R., Wis.) Saturday to admonish a guest for calling him a “hard worker,” arguing it demeaned slaves and working mothers “in the context of relative privilege.”
Harris-Perry cut in to tell Aguilar that the use of the term “hard worker” was problematic since she had a picture of slaves working in cotton fields on her office wall to remind her of when to really use that term. Her rambling response also included an attack on Republicans for demonizing working mothers.

Michael Derrick Hudson of Indiana used the pen name Yi-Fen Chou after his poem was repeatedly rejected under his real name
A white man whose poem was published Tuesday under a Chinese-sounding pseudonym in The Best American Poetry anthology has provoked accusations of racism and cultural appropriation. Indiana genealogist Michael Derrick Hudson, whose poem “The Bees, the Flowers, Jesus, Ancient Tigers, Poseidon, Adam and Eve” appears in the annual poetry collection, said he chose then pen name “Yi-Fen Chou” after being rejected by 40 different journals under his real name, the Washington Post reports.

A white Ivy League professor has taken to the pages of the Huffington Post to condemn her own race, declaring that she chose never to reproduce because her children would simply inherit white privilege... “I sometimes don’t want to be white either,” Michael says. “There was a time in my 20s when everything I learned about the history of racism made me hate myself, my Whiteness, my ancestors… and my descendants. I remember deciding that I couldn’t have biological children because I didn’t want to propagate my privilege biologically.”
According to Portland State University Professor’s Rachel Sanders’ “White Privilege” course, “whiteness” must be dismantled if racial justice will ever be achieved.
The course description states that “whiteness is the lynchpin of structures of racial meaning and racial inequality in the United States” and claims that “to preserve whiteness is to preserve racial injustice.”
Students taking the course will “endeavor to make whiteness strange.” In order to make whiteness strange, the description says students must “interrogate whiteness as an unstable legal, political, social, and cultural construction”

A top U.S. Forest Service executive told his employees to probe their own “unconscious bias” on everything from race and sexuality to the disabled and fat people, asking them to use an unproven assessment tool to explore their feelings... Students at Appalachian State University in North Carolina are being admonished by a residential adviser who is urging them to “check” no fewer than seven types of privilege, Campus Reform reports. The dangerous privileges to be checked were all listed on a bulletin board in the campus’ East Hall, and included “white privilege,” “male privilege,” “Christian privilege,” “heterosexual privilege", ”able-bodied privilege,” “class privilege” and even “cisgender privilege” (a person is “cisgender” if their stated gender matches their physical sex).

Also, “tea partiers are not overly concerned about the economy,” love “gun rallies,” want power in the hands of white people and hate President Barack Obama because he “broke the white monopoly on the presidency.” Such was the message of a speaker on the first day of this year’s White Privilege Conference, currently happening at a posh hotel in downtown Louisville, Ky. The speaker was Leonard Zeskind.

A school district in Wisconsin said they will review a high school diversity class that exposed students to radical leftist thinkers and promoted a critical race theory that alleges white people are oppressors. The “American Diversity” class was taught to juniors at Delavan-Darien High School in Wisconsin, Fox News has learned. “They’re teaching white guilt,” a concerned parent told Fox News. “They’re dividing the students. They’re saying to non-whites, ‘You have been oppressed and you’re still being oppressed.’”

“The former governor’s statement entirely disregards the unearned privileges of his upbringing and race,” wrote Li in the story published by the left-leaning news site The Huffington Post... Li went on to sharply criticize Mitt and Ann Romney’s refusal to link their success to their white skin color. “The Romneys’ shortsightedness on this issue demonstrates their ignorance of one of the central ideas in the field of critical race studies, the unearned privileges accorded to whiteness,” she wrote. “Romney truly is the whitest man to run for president because he doesn’t realize how his whiteness has influenced his life,” she continued.
