Hillary Clinton said on Tuesday there was “sexism” in Barack Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign that she and the president needed to get past. “Beginning the process of working with then-Senator Obama after I ended my campaign, we had an awkward but necessary meeting to clear the air on a couple of issues, and one of them was the sexism that - unfortunately - was present in that ‘08 campaign.”
Riedel introduced the CIA analyst to Obama as “the best Pakistan expert I’ve ever seen.” Obama looked at the CIA officer, who was sporting stiletto heels, and said with clear amusement, “You don’t look like a Pakistan expert.”
Obama suggested that Democrats make a “clear and convincing case for an alternative economic strategy,” a foreshadowing of how he would be different. In May 2003, he continued his attack on Bush and called on the Senate to "resist" Bush's "unprecedented $300 billion deficit," which, he alleged, was retarding growth. ("Obama Urges Congress to Resist $300 Billion Deficit," Chicago Defender, May 14, 2003). His attack made front-page news in the Defender, one of the main African-American newspapers in the city, as he prepared for his run for the U.S. Senate in 2004.

President Obama has yet to make good on the administration's promises that he would sign up for health insurance on the new government exchanges, the White House acknowledged on Monday. White House press secretary Jay Carney said that Obama has not signed up for Obamacare and that he did have a reason for the delay. A reporter pressed Carney on whether the White House would make it an open-press event if and when Obama does enroll. “I'll get back to you,” Carney replied.

The Washington Examiner's Richard Pollock spent several months in 2012 doing the basic reporting about the president's early years that for the most part wasn't done by the mainstream media in 2008. One of Pollock's most interesting discoveries was a Chicago court case in which the young Obama defended a despicable slumlord who turned off the heat and water without prior notice to a low-income apartment complex during a record-cold winter. The residents were put on the street, yet Obama got the slumlord off with a $50 fine.

Speaking to CNN host Larry King, Obama declared that the Bush administration had a tendency to “hide behind executive privilege every time there’s something a little shaky that’s taking place.” Obama urged Bush to consider “coming clean,” adding that “the American people deserve to know what was going on there.”

Nearly every professional woman has had the experience of saying something in a meeting, receiving no response, and then listening as a male colleague offers the same thought or suggestion minutes later to great acclaim. The first time it happens, she feels slightly foolish and is a little unsettled. Did I say that out loud or just in my head? Maybe he made the point better than I did. The second time it happens, she gets frustrated. The third time, she gets angry. Look at the senior women meeting with Obama in this White House photo at a dinner they called to discuss their invisibility. Look at their faces and body language. They are pissed off.
WHEN I listen to President Obama speak to and about women, he sometimes sounds too paternalistic for my taste. In numerous appearances over the years — most recently at the Barnard graduation — he has made reference to how women are smarter than men. It’s all so tired, the kind of fake praise showered upon those one views as easy to impress. As I listen, I am always bracing for the old go-to cliché: “Behind every great man is a great woman.” -Campbell Brown

Friction about the roles of women in the Obama White House grew so intense during the first two years of the president’s tenure that he was forced to take steps to reassure senior women on his staff that he valued their presence and their input. At a dinner in November 2009, several senior female aides complained directly to the president that men enjoyed greater access to him and often muscled them out of key policy discussions.

President Barack Obama invited a female member of staff to join his regular golf game for the first time, following criticism that he was turning the White House into a boys' club.

President Obama headed for the links again Sunday, but this time a woman joined him on the green. Melody Barnes, the president's chief domestic policy adviser, was part of Obama's group of four, a rarity for a regular outing that has been dominated by the "boys" of the White House. Questions about the president's chumminess with the men on his staff -- to the exclusion of the women -- has become something of a buzz about Washington.

A new book claims that the Obama White House is a boys’ club marred by rampant infighting that has hindered the administration’s economic policy and left top female advisers feeling excluded from key conversations. In an excerpt obtained by The Post, a female senior aide to President Obama called the White House a hostile environment for women. “This place would be in court for a hostile workplace,” former White House communications director Anita Dunn is quoted as saying. “Because it actually fit all of the classic legal requirements for a genuinely hostile workplace to women.”
The moral code, the moral compass of the State-Controlled Media is something to behold. Now, some of you may not know the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize Winner hosted a state dinner last night for Hu Jintao of China. Hu Jintao is holding the 2010 Nobel Peace Prize Winner in prison in China. Not making it up. The 2009 Nobel Peace Prize Winner hosted a dinner for the guy holding the 2010 Nobel Peace Prize Winner in prison, and the media does not get the irony of this at all.

“Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren,” Obama said in 2006. “America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership.”
Obama later missed two votes in 2007 and 2008 while campaigning for president. Many Democrats who opposed the 2006 increase flipped their position once they took control of the Senate.
