The pro-life contingent sang “Amazing Grace.” Their opponents brought children to the Texas Capitol toting signs with slogans such as “stay out of my mommy’s vagina,” and spent much of the day chanting “F**k you” and “Hail Satan” in response.

A group of witches is planning to gather in Brooklyn next weekend to publicly hex newly appointed Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh. The event, which is being held at occult bookstore Catland Books, will target “all rapists,” according to the Eventbrite page.
“[Kavanaugh] will be the focal point, but by no means the only target, so bring your rage and and all of the axes you've got to grind. There will also be a second ritual afterward — 'The Rites of the Scorned One' which seeks to validate, affirm, uphold and support those of us who have been wronged and who refuse to be silent any longer.”
Half of the proceeds raised from the $10 tickets will be donated, split between Planned Parenthood and the Ali Forney Center, an LGBT community center.

Witches plan to place a public hex on Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh through an occult ritual on Oct. 20 in New York City, an event sponsored by Catland Books, which describes itself as "Brooklyn's premiere occult bookshop & spiritual community space." The planned ritual has been advertised on Facebook.
"Please join us for a public hex on Brett Kavanaugh, upon all rapists and the patriarchy at large which emboldens, rewards and protects them," reads the description for the event, "Ritual to Hex Brett Kavanaugh."...

One section titled “Hex” tells the reader, “Hexing people is an important way to get out anger and frustration.”
It becomes increasingly deranged, suggesting that those who say “all lives matter” or commit “microaggressions,” should be targeted.

A Florida teacher plans to erect a Satanic display at a park during the Christmas season to entice children to “hail Satan,” outraging local parents.
Preston Smith, who teaches language arts at a Boca Raton middle school, said he plans to display a 300-pound metal Satanic pentagram, sporting “One Nation Under Antichrist,” “May The Children Hail Satan,” and “In Satan We Trust,” in Sanborn Square, according to WND.

A woman claiming to be a witch wrote an op-ed for the Los Angeles Times Tuesday about trying to put a spell on President Donald Trump.
“I cast a spell on the president. I was not alone. Thousands of witches, believers and people like me all over the world performed ‘A Spell to Bind Donald Trump and All Those Who Abet Him’ under the waning crescent moon last month,” Diana Wagman said in the piece...
Wagman conducted her fist spell, “Spell to Bind Donald Trump” back in February. She then joined a larger movement of self-described witches who call themselves The Bind Trump group.
Attempts at spell-casting are obviously not unique to today's young people; the Washington writer and hostess Sally Quinn just published a book in which she boasts about hexing the renowned magazine editor Clay Felker, my former journalism professor, before his death from cancer.

Documents obtained by Judicial Watch show the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) fast-tracked tax-exempt status for an “After School Satan Club” in Tacoma, Washington, while the federal agency was discovered to be either denying conservative and Christian groups the same status or making them wait for years.
According to the watchdog group that uncovered the IRS scandal during the Obama administration, the After School Satan Club at Point Defiance Elementary in Tacoma applied for its tax-exempt status designation on October 21, 2014 and received it only 10 days later on October 31, 2014.

As part of International Women’s Day (March 8), feminist protestors simulated a bloody abortion on a woman dressed as the Virgin Mary, the mother of Jesus Christ, outside the cathedral in Tucuman, Argentina. The protestors, according to Life Site News, which reported the incident in the English language press, cheered the fake abortion as symbolically killing “patriarchy” and “forced heterosexuality.”

Following in the footsteps of Lady Gaga, Lana Del Rey is attempting to use witchcraft to remove Donald Trump from Presidency. “At the stroke of midnight,” the famed singer Tweeted. “Feb 24, March 26, April 24, May 23… Ingredients can be found online.”... A representative for Del Rey confirmed to Pitchfork that the singer-songwriter’s tweet was in reference to the occult rituals.

A highly publicized ceremonial unveiling of the satanic figure of Baphomet in Detroit Saturday, an event billed as the “largest public satanic ceremony in history,” sold $25 and $75 tickets, the proceeds of which will be used to support the reproductive rights legal action fund, according to a Temple spokeswoman.

A church marquee that displayed a message disagreeing with the Supreme Court’s recent ruling on same-sex marriage was spray-painted with graffiti this weekend. But the sign at Bisbee Baptist Church was quickly cleaned up to keep showing the message: “Just because something is legal doesn’t mean it’s right.”
Pastor Freddie Matthews said he would like to talk to the person who spray-painted the sign early on July 4 with the phrase, “F--- 2 Your God We Love Gays!”

THE drama in Indiana last week and the larger debate over so-called religious freedom laws in other states portray homosexuality and devout Christianity as forces in fierce collision.
They're not - at least not in several prominent denominations, which have come to a new understanding of what the Bible does and doesn't decree, of what people can and cannot divine in regard to God's will.
And homosexuality and Christianity don't have to be in conflict in any church anywhere.
That many Christians regard them as incompatible is understandable, an example not so much of hatred's pull as of tradition's sway. Beliefs ossified over centuries aren't easily shaken.
But in the end, the continued view of gays, lesbians and bisexuals as sinners is a decision. It's a choice. It prioritizes scattered passages of ancient texts over all that has been learned since - as if time had stood still, as if the advances of science and knowledge meant nothing.
It disregards the degree to which all writings reflect the biases and blind spots of their authors, cultures and eras.
It ignores the extent to which interpretation is subjective, debatable.

So our debate about religious freedom should include a conversation about freeing religions and religious people from prejudices that they needn't cling to and can indeed jettison, much as they've jettisoned other aspects of their faith's history, rightly bowing to the enlightenments of modernity.

The man was touched, not by the magic fire that has inspired so many great artists but by a diabolical rage against truth, order, light, and beauty that characterizes Satan in Milton’s Paradise Lost, and has the same object of hostility: humanity.

The head of the Episcopal Church has garnered outrage from some in the Anglican Communion over her claim that St. Paul of Tarsus' curing of a demon-possessed slave girl as described in the Bible was wrong. In a sermon delivered before the Diocese of Venezuela on the island nation of Curaçao, Presiding Bishop The Most Rev. Katharine Jefferts Schori said that by driving the demon out of her Paul was "depriving her of her gift of spiritual awareness."

A video has surfaced that appears to show an individual entering a Hobby Lobby store in Poughkeepsie, NY and committing an act of anti-Christian vandalism inside the store. The video shows the individual placing several naked dolls with wire hangers going through their heads on one of the store’s shelves. The naked baby dolls have long hair and beards and are adorned with labels which advertise the dolls as “Aborted Baby Jesus.”

Just recently, a transsexual named Xochi Mochi wore a dress, cape, and a five-horn headdress while reading to a group of kids at the Michelle Obama Library in Long Beach, Calif.
The Church of Satan tweeted their support of the event and while the library initially posted the photo of Xochi Mochi reading to the kids on their Facebook and Twitter pages, they were eventually taken down.
In fact, Quinn believes in the dark arts to a point where is certain she possesses the ability to murder people through the power of a hex, and on three occasions, with murder in her heart, she used that power.
In her own mind, she is responsible for the deaths of three people whose only sin was offending her in some way.
